About Burke Bischoff
Burke Bischoff was introduced to writing at six years old with the novels And Then There Were None, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. This developed into a passion for books and storytelling.
He established writing skills in high school and college in the Greater New Orleans area with a number of Creative Writing, English, and Speech classes. He also wrote a few flash fiction stories during that time in order to foster a distinct voice.
Burke Bischoff continued to develop different writing styles by serving as a staff writer for Loyola University’s award winning newspaper, The Maroon. He gained further experience by writing over 50 byline stories for The Maroon, by presenting fiction stories at The Columns Hotel in New Orleans, and interning at WYES, Channel 12, where he went on to hold both Production Assistant and Associate Producer positions and contributed technical work for the station's weekly television programs: Steppin' Out and Informed Sources.
He currently serves as a contributing writer for Where Y'at Magazine, writing daily online articles and monthly print articles for said magazine, where he also served as Copy Editor and Executive Editor. He has also contributed articles for the online publication Very Local.
